Gifts from the Hotel du Pont Collection

In 2017, the Delaware Art Museum received 13 works of art previously on display in the Hotel du Pont in downtown Wilmington. The gift included watercolors by Andrew Wyeth and oil paintings by N.C. Wyeth, Frank Schoonover, and Edward Loper. Adorning the building’s public spaces, the hotel’s collection was formed over several decades to support local artists. The Museum is honored to keep these works in the community where they were produced, collected, and enjoyed for generations.
