Sinew: Female Native Artists of the Twin Cities

Artist and curator Dyani White Hawk is partnering with the Tweed Museum of Art to bring this brilliant display of female artists to the Northland. Sinew: Female Native Artists of the Twin Cities was originally curated for Artistry in Bloomington, MN in conjunction with the Guerilla Girls Twin Cities Takeover. The Guerilla Girls described their work as “feminist masked avengers in the tradition of anonymous do-gooders like Robin Hood, Wonder Woman and Batman. How do we expose sexism, racism and corruption in politics, art, film, and pop culture? With facts, humor, and outrageous visuals.”
