Throughout summer 2017, nineteen talented youth with a strong interest in art and science will gather for six days of learning, collaboration, and public engagement. These “Buzz Lab interns” will work with Ojibwe photographer Joe Allen to make photographs of the natural environment and to communicate the importance of protecting pollinator species and native plants. The exhibition The Hive will display the resulting photographs and Buzz Lab creative outcomes. This exhibition complements the mobile, pop-up educational space the interns are building with artists Christine Baeumler and Dwight Mickelson. Watch forThe Hive at community events this summer.
