Each year members of the U.S. House of Representatives recognize the creative spirit of American high school students (grades 9-12) with a national art competition. The Polk Museum of Art conducts the competition and mounts the exhibition for the 15th Congressional District including parts of Polk, Lake, and Hillsborough counties. This annual exhibition features works from high school students in the 15th Congressional District.
The exhibit is organized through the efforts of Polk Museum of Art and the offices of U.S. Rep. Dennis Ross. The Congressional Award winning piece will travel to Washington, D.C., to be displayed for one year in the U.S. Capitol along with other winning works from districts throughout the nation.
