Feb 11 2017 - May 28 2017

In early 2017 the Paine will present an exhibition of new works by Wisconsin artist Craig Blietz. From his Door County studio, Blietz focuses on animals and rural imagery to create masterful paintings that celebrate the dignity and quiet beauty of agrarian life. The exhibition will feature a selection of new works by Blietz, reflecting the inspiration he gleans from the serene landscapes and noble depictions of animals created by nineteenth-century French Barbizon School artists, many of whom are represented in the Paine’s permanent collection.
