Jean Claude Legagneur: Faces of Freedom

In Faces of Freedom Legagneur presents one of his most recent creations, revealing a new stage of his art. This new approach produces oversized portraits that masterfully capture human expression.

Legagneur presents through his paintings the intense movement of non-linguistic gestures of other humans. The artist builds his body of work on the honored examples of representational art as found in the established manifestations of Caribbean and Black art, cross walking components of Western and peripheral cultures.
