Items from the Stark Foundation Library & Archive offer a peek into the past. Family collections on view include Civil War letters and pistols, Bengal Guard memorabilia, a post card album, and the number 13!
The Luther and Stark families kept personal items from earlier generations. The Civil War Letters written by John T. Stark and two of his pistols are among the heirlooms. An invitation to a ball at the University of Texas in 1894, the records of the Ladies Shakespeare Club of Orange, and Bengal Guard memorabilia also survive. These collections from the Stark Foundation Library & Archive are on view as part of the Collecting Conversations exhibition.
