The urge to escape is a powerful thing. When followed, it can lead one to alternative realities, other worlds, even whole new galaxies.

Artists from around the world submitted original works responding to the idea of places of escape—whether that was a place in their imaginations or a physical place on a map. On view are dozens of works by established, emerging, and avocational artists. We invite you to experience their imaginative journeys to places of solitude, adventure, solace, and mystery.
