The Center for Craft believes in the dreams and hard work of makers, museums, academics, and the local community  who keep the field of craft alive.


The Center is dedicated to advancing the field of craft, and the galleries serve as a platform for exploring contemporary practices of making in the shifting creative landscape of the 21st century.

The Craft Research Fund Study Collection has a national impact on the advancement of craft-making practices as well as studying the economic impact of crafts. Since 2005, the Center has awarded more than $4mm in grants to 400 emerging artists, curators and scholars, and worked with more than 180 institutions.

The Center offers free admission to view its exhibitions Monday-Saturday, and a guided tour is available.
