The gardens opened in 1996 on a site that was previously Larsen Orchard, of which a remnant remains.

47 acres of display gardens and natural areas offer a variety of garden environments, including an English Cottage Garden, Daylily Display Garden, Upper Rose Garden, a Shade Garden, woodland and conifer gardens, Herb Display Gardens, a perennial garden and a garden featuring Wisconsin’s native plants and wildflowers.

The Garden is the coldest site in the Magnolia Multisite Collection, and is home to 143 magnolias

Fountains, a belvedere, and a Hobbit House enhance the landscape.

During the winter months, the garden hosts the WPS Garden of Lights, a display of over 200,000 holiday lights.
