The University of Delaware Botanic Gardens (UDBG) traces its roots back to the late 1950’s with the planting of specimen trees and shrubs around Agriculture Hall (now Townsend Hall) at the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources.

From woodland to wetland, a number of unique gardens are found within the 15 developed landscape, with a diversity of plants and variety of garden styles.

The gardens are open to visitors every day from sunrise till sunset. There is no admission charge.
