Shangri La is a 250+ acre site set along the waterways of Adams Bayou that combines botanical gardens and an education nature center. It is a tranquil sanctuary with over 300 types of plants and a wide variety of wildlife.
Garden paths are surrounded by fragrant flowers, a perennial border and a hanging garden. Also, an Epiphyte House (plants that grow on another plant or structure non-parasitically), bird watching, naturalist-led excursions along Adams Bayou, and a Children’s Garden.
