This 182-acre showcase on Oso Creek offers a unique and varied take on botanical gardens-- beautiful new Exotic Parrots, or native wildlife in the new Resident Reptiles exhibit; artistic decorative water features, or vast natural wetlands; majestic Rose Pavilion; or rustic Palapa Grande on scenic Gator Lake.

Includes a 2600 square-foot screened Butterfly House, a Bromeliad Conservatory, an Orchid Conservatory, 300 breathtaking roses and stately Rose Pavilion, Hummingbird, Sensory, Arid Garden, and Tropical gardens. During the eight warmer months, the tree-top blooms of the fragrant tropical Plumeria Garden can be enjoyed from an elevated viewing ramp.

A naturescape of natural wetlands and trails meanders through native mesquite forest. The Botanical Gardens & Nature Center is a Great Texas Coastal Birding Trail site, with a birding tower overlooking Gator Lake.
