A stroll through the Arboretum will take you through a variety of gardens and landscapes, including perennial, rose, herb and aquatic garens, a tropical greenhouse, a water conservation garden.

Four historic structures are located on the site, including the 1886 Queen Anne Cottage, the Victorian Coach Barn, and the 1840 Reid-Baldwin Adobe (a California Historical Landmark). In 1970, an abandoned Santa Anita Depot train station was moved from its original location a quarter mile north of the Arboretum and restored to look as it was first constructed by the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railroad in 1890.
