Opening in New York City in February 2019, this museum -- with one of the largest collections of canine art in the world --  will be housed in the same building as AKC headquarters, with access to the library of 15,000 books

The specially-designed space will display the AKC's collection of dog paintings and sculptures by artists including the renowned Sir Edwin Landseer, Maud Earl and Arthur Wardle. A two-story glass vitrine displays rare pieces.

The museum spans two floors and includes several digital and interactive exhibits. There are also several hundred "paintings, drawings, watercolors, prints, sculptures, bronzes, porcelain figurines, decorative arts objects and interactive displays" depicting dogs throughout the ages.
