The McFarland House was constructed -- with five chimneys, hand-carved sandstone, wrap-around porch decked in Georgian marble, and stained glass windows -- on a bluff in the Quality Hill neighborhood in 1899, several miles away from downtown’s often-uncivilized activities.

The McFarland House remains in pristine condition, with impressive decor including white mahogany, intricate chandeliers, Victorian color schemes, and elaborate woodwork.
