Founded by local citizens in 1893, and now located  in a 56,000 square foot complex in the " History Center" in downtown West Chester, CCHS stewards an unparalleled collection of artifacts, manuscripts, photographs and volumes that documents over 300 years of County heritage

CCHS hosts a permanent and rotating exhibits featuring nationally significant collections – locally crafted Grandfather Clocks, furniture from the early 1700s, over 200 quilts, and historic clothing collection dating from the 1700s to today, and related art exhibitions.
