The fine art photography collection includes some 10,000 photographs (by more than 1,000 different photographers) and early cased objects, spanning the history of the medium. The collection of prints and rare printed books numbers more than 10,000, representing the graphic arts from 1493 to the present. Prints and photography constitute the heart of the museum’s holdings.

In addition, the museum holds modern and contemporary painting and sculpture as well as collections of historic European and Spanish Colonial paintings, retablos, and polychrome wood sculpture, and African sculpture. 

More than 2,400 artworks make up the Raymond Jonson Collection, including 600 paintings and drawings by Jonson himself.
