In keeping with city's culture of gatherings and cultural celebrations, the art center opened on a 12-acre campus in 1991. Structures were designed as a modern interpretation of the region’s Spanish Colonial heritage.
Art of all mediums and disciplines by professional and student artists is exhibited in the Center’s 9,000-square-foot Museum. The grounds also include a concert hall and performance theater.
