McKissick Museum at the University of South Carolina focuses on documenting cultural heritage and natural environment, as well as the enduring folkways and traditions of South Carolina and the Southeast. Collections in material culture, natural science, decorative and fine arts support this mission.
Fine and decorative arts holdings include a Silver Collection (on permanent display); artwork by art department faculty as well as regional artists such as Eldridge Bagley and Jonathan Green; and Material Culture objects including quilts, dresses, uniforms, household linens, political memorabilia, and art glass.
