The Wake Forest University Art holdings include more than 1600 works in nine diverse collections.

Of particular note, the Print Collection consists of original prints from the 15th century to the 21st century, by artists such as Chagall, Durer, Goya, Matisse, Picasso, and Rembrandt. The collection of fine etchings, engravings, lithographs, and woodcuts is housed in the A. Lewis Aycock Visual Resources Library in the Scales Fine Arts Center.

The Hanes Art Gallery is focused on presenting challenging and engaging artwork; mostly contemporary, but sometimes focused on historical works or selections from the breadth of Wake Forest University’s collections. 6-8 exhibitions a year.

In addition, the Reynolda House Museum of American Art (see separate listing) is associated with Wake Forest University.
