Sea Change at Pérez Art Museum Miami (PAMM) is an immersive exhibition that reflects on the accelerating changes across climate, culture, and time. The artworks flow between watery warnings, poetic reflections on human nature, and futuristic reinterpretations of the technologies that are reshaping our lives. Each work offers a unique perspective on the interconnectedness of technology and the natural world

The playlist includes multilayered virtual beings envisioned by LaTurbo Avedon, Eva Papamargariti, and Fabiola Larios; playful interspecies antics in the animated GIF collages of Lorna Mills; a surreal animalistic transformation by Cassie McQuater; mesmerizing generative landscapes by Alfredo Salazar-Caro, Harvey Moon, Rick Silva, and Nicolas Sassoon; a shimmering 3D archive documenting endangered aquatic plant species by Rodell Warner; and an imagined environment of sentient Mangroves by Miami-based artist Leo Castañeda.

Sea Change weaves together themes of artificial intelligence, simulation technology, and identity to help us understand our precarious position amidst the imminent seismic changes affecting society, culture, and the human condition. The survey encompasses a diverse range of aesthetic styles and formats, including generative art, animated GIFs, video games, 3D experimental films, and virtual reality—a comprehensive "download" illustrating how artists critically engage with technology in the studio.
