Jewelry for America

Exhibition Website

Spanning 300 years, Jewelry for America will explore the evolution of jewelry in this country, from the early eighteenth century to the present day. Its five chronological sections will reveal changes in styles, materials, and techniques, all woven into a socio-historical narrative.

Some one hundred examples from The Met collection—including recently acquired and rarely exhibited objects—will be displayed.
