Lauren Skelly Bailey: Studio Focus incorporates assemblage sculptures, photography, conglomerations, and a site-specific installation, all featuring the artist’s distinctive layering, glazing, and reuse of ceramic materials. Bailey’s paradoxically subtle and vibrantly colored works often reference the natural world, especially critically endangered coral environments, in which certain corals change to near-neon hues before being bleached due to the ravages of global warming.
