I signed up for a quilting class in the San Francisco Bay Area.I was so excited about the repeat patterns, the textures of the fabrics and the stitching process of making a quilt. I made traditional quilts and taught students. I attended a lecture from Michael James which changed my life. I would no longer use traditional patterns but create my own designs reaching back to all my years of painting, I have no formal art training, just life and the ability to see design and composition in everything around me. I have always worked in series and each series seems to end in a book on design of that form.
