L’dor V’dor: From generation to generation

Exhibition Website

Feb 1 2018 - Apr 29 2018

L’dor V’dor is Hebrew for “from generation to generation,” the traditional Jewish imperative to pass learning and values on to one’s progeny. The concept is central to this exhibition in which we recognize the hard work and accomplishments of multiple generations of Jewish women who imparted leadership skills and community involvements to enrich their beloved city of New Orleans.

In addition to supporting the arts through philanthropy and volunteer efforts, New Orleans Jewish women made major contributions as artists, writers, photographers, curators, art historians, and collectors.

Special events include artists speaking about their connections to the city, what our shared community has meant to their art, and their work in general.
