Hedwige Jacobs: Solo Exhibition

Exhibition Website

Jan 19 2019 - Feb 28 2019

Jacob's drawings are made with simple materials (pencils, pens and markers on paper, objects and walls) and investigate how we live and interact as a society.
They capture experiences of isolation, inertia, and desperation; human interaction and with suggestive, yet fragmented environments.

She builds upon a lexicon of imagery that she has been developing over multiple years. This “alphabet” is a personal language of evolving organic elements and patterns, including woven patterns.
Jacobs covers ridged objects in woven patterns, allowing the organic impression of the weave to create new relationships and visual trickery.
