The Art of Haiti: Loas, History, and Memory is a major exhibition which explores the contemporary significance of Haitian art. Working in collaboration with the Centre d’Art in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, the Fine Arts Center presents paintings by some of Haiti’s major 20th century artists.

The exhibition also features new works by internationally renowned artist Edouard Duval-Carrié, as well as works by Haitian contemporary artists Tessa Mars and Ralph Allen.

The Art of Haiti: Loas, History, and Memory will challenge commonly held ideas about Haiti as a site of exotic strangeness within the Americas, and offer new ways of understanding Haitian art.
