As Above So Below is an ongoing series of complex layered paintings. Within the abstract turmoil, created by energetic flowing brush strokes and drips, appear vestiges of the human form, tightly rendered eyes of monkeys and birds, and glimpses of their bodies. These works along with works from other series presented in the exhibition can be conceived as visual puzzles, but emotionally they evoke the artist’s response to constant metamorphosis, and a sense of personal loss.
