Piemontese artist Angela Sepe Novara was born and raised in the province of Torino. Graduating from Fine Arts High School, she went on to take classes in nude art at Albertina Academy in Turin, watercolor classes with Guido Bertello, and graphic art with Raffaele Pontecorvo. Beginning as a figurative artist, Sepe Novara later moved into Abstract Expressionism.

Her current body of work is focused on dissolving and recomposing the image, isolation of the fragment, visual poetry, and installation. She loves to design and create “artistic jewels”, unique pieces in resin and silver. She collaborates with institutions and companies—such as Gibaud Italy and Italian Sport Medicine Federation—creating works for advertising and special events. Much of her career has been dedicated to fine art education. She also writes poetry and poetic captions for her works.

Recent highlights of Angela Sepe Novara’s artistic career include exhibiting at the 54th Venice Biennale, curated by Italian art critic Vittorio Sgarbi, collaborating with the Museum of Modern Art of Torino (GAM), and holding watercolor seminars at the Castle of Rivoli (former Residence of the Royal House of Savoy). Her solo exhibition Colori tra Cielo e Terra was featured at the Regional Museum of Natural Sciences of Turin, under the patronage of the Italian Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities and Tourism, which also promoted her solo exhibition at the Castle of Aglié, in the North of Piedmont.

She regularly collaborates with the Italian national newspapers La Stampa and La Repubblica. The latter featured nine of her watercolor portraits of the Royal House of Savoy in 2015. She was also short-listed as a finalist in a national writing contest with the novel La vita è un pasticcio di ingredienti (Life is a Mixture of Ingredients), hosted by the Turin International Book Fair.
