Steven Bleicher: The Kings Highway

Through about 40 works of art, The Kings Highway highlights the road’s rich history and the American obsession with exploration, expansion and travel. Bleicher’s exhibit focuses in particular on the southern portion of the road, which includes parts of Florida, Georgia, and North and South Carolina.

His impressions are distilled into mixed-media compositions that combine photo-realistic graphite renderings developed from site sketches and photographs with corresponding road maps and found objects

About Steven Bleicher:
He has worked and taught at the New York Studio School of Drawing, Painting and Sculpture, the State University of New York, Brooklyn College and Marian College, N.Y.  He served as a color specialist on Man and Nature in Rhapsody of Light, a permanent public art installation at the Water Cube in Beijing.
