This work was selected by Shelby Merlino (class of 2019), who explains: “I chose this work for the artist’s attention to detail and imagined perspective. I appreciate the distinctive way Albright manipulates the world around him to create captivating compositions, often considered perturbing. As someone who appreciates creative processes, I enjoy imagining how artists made their marks. I especially admire how each time I revisit this work I am able to discover a new thought-provoking detail or characteristic. I feel it is important to put this piece on display as I desire to recreate this experience for the community and believe its intricacies can only be truly appreciated when viewed in person.”
