According to the artists' statement, "transitional space is defined as space between an interior and exterior, acting as both a boundary and a link between states of being or surrounds." Through their artwork, the three artists represent "identities, bodies, and boundaries in a state of transition," which incorporates objects from daily human life. Their intent, according to their statement, is to "create spaces that feel familiar and impossible, substantive and impermanent" to observers.
