Radiance is a series of three mixed media and video projection installations created by Teri Yarbrow and Max Almy and a new immersive VR work created with Josephine Leong. The works explore elaborate multilayered patterns, geometric designs, and ancient iconography reimagined in luminous and transforming media works. The works are informed by a range of concepts, from the power of ancient symbols to contemporary theories in physics that posit the interconnectedness and pulsing aliveness of all things.

The video installations include sculptural elements, water-jet cut patinated copper and plexiglass with LCD screens, digital video, and projections that fill the surrounding walls. The three animating works combine to create a vibrant field of radiance in the gallery. With the new VR work, the artists invite the viewer to step inside their creation, a radiating light field that streams and moves around the viewer in a fully immersive experience in virtual space. The viewer is enveloped in procedurally generated particle animations based on ancient iconography.
