Unwrapped: Gifts from the Peter Norton Family Christmas Project

Every year Peter Norton, the creator of Norton Antivirus Software, commissions 2,000-3,000 multiples of a work by an artist to send to friends, family, and select museums around the world. The Asheville Art Museum is honored to be on the Norton Christmas list. The Museum has received Norton gifts by artists such as Takashi Murakami, Kara Walker, Yinka Shonibare, Lorna Simpson, Do Ho Suh and other important contemporary artists. These gifts exemplify the spirit of philanthropy found in the art world and during the winter holidays.
