With contemporary society focused on technological advancements, we are often left to question how to approach established modes of communication and creation. Despite this constant evolution, there is inherent value in the artistic processes and objects of the past. This exhibition explores how contemporary artists use traditional techniques to inform their practice and expand upon the conventions of the mediums. Delving into the significance of process, Re-Claimed focuses both on the approaches employed by a new generation of artists and the innovative ways they use such processes as printmaking, bronze and glass casting, ceramics, and animation, among other methods. These artists approach their chosen mediums with a new perspective yielding unexpected and dynamic results.
