Storytelling is an art form as old as humanity. We live and breathe stories every day and they can have a profound effect on how we see the world. I've always worked to find the story in every image and the image in every story. When I draw, I'll often write as well, and when I'm conceptualizing a new project, I'll often flip back and forth between the computer keyboard and my drafting table. To me, it's two sides of the same coin.

Personal Spaces is a new direction for me in how I'm approaching my visual storytelling. The written component has more impact than it has had in the past, and the stories are created as a sort of anthology, with these tales of personal tragedy and triumphs intertwined with one another. It's a new challenge that has been incredibly rewarding for me as an artist

I was born and raised in Arkansas. From an early age, I was infatuated with visual stories in the form of comic books. I turned this passion into a degree in studio art from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, exhibitions on a national scale, my work in private collections, and lately into teaching this passion to others at the Museum School. I strive to teach a new way of seeing through the power of drawing and help my students get a good foundation for expression no matter the medium they fall in love with.
