Soudan: Virginia Bradley

Virginia Bradley resides in Great Barrington, MA and is a Professor of Art at The University of Delaware. Her recent paintings are based on the alchemical processes of water, iron, and experiences near the Soudan Iron Mine in Tower, Minnesota. She equates the process of geological alchemy with her studio practice of layering, sanding, adding, and subtracting until the painting reveals a composite of influence and inspiration.
