Vivian Maier: Photographer’s Lost Voice

Exhibition Website

Feb 21 2018 - May 26 2018

Culled from an archive of over 3,000 vintage prints, the exhibition will feature a variety of original and unseen photographs, including Maier’s own darkroom prints, providing viewers with a unique glimpse into Maier’s previously unexplored works.

A private woman, Maier’s work was never exhibited during her lifetime, but in recent years her work has been posthumously recognized in the form of a variety of media examining her life and legacy, including documentaries, books, and exhibitions.

Two Hollywood films on Maier are currently in production. Vivian Maier: Photography’s Lost Voice will include Maier’s emblematic street photography, but will also offer a perspective into Maier’s photographic interests beyond the street, including a selection of unseen landscape studies.
