Jason Hailey increases visual awareness and raises the level of response to aesthetic values. His abstract photographs show the dramatic changes of nature transformed into pleasing compositions that resemble the improvised art of the painter’s canvas.
Hailey derived his abstract images from the painted walls, compressed metals, and recycled waste of our culture. As contemporary hieroglyphics, they reveal a great deal about our society and its products. Abstract yet representational, these large-sized cibachrome images depict much about man, time, and industry.
