Through the medium of clay, Adam Ledford investigates the ideologies of mid-century modernism by leading the viewer through three-dimensional space. Objects placed in situ infer women’s roles, the workforce, mass marketing, modern conveniences, and the restructuring of society in a wholly recreated domestic space. The key to his praxis finds root in anthropological research, forming the conduit to narratives about cultural and personal identity.
