The Domes of the Yosemite

Following its conservation in Miami, The Domes of the Yosemite, the largest known painting by Albert Bierstadt (1830–1902), will be exhibited at the Morse through a special loan of the St. Johnsbury Athenaeum in Vermont. The 1867 oil-on-canvas, measuring almost 10-by-15 feet, has not been on display outside the Athenaeum since its first installation in 1872. It will be on view through early July.
