Gleanings- From Manhattan Streets & Lake Erie Beaches comprises two of the artist’s series. TrashScans – digital collages of detritus picked up on the streets of Manhattan in December 2016. Adrift – digital collages of Lake Erie beach finds from a 2016 solo exhibition at the Bonfoey Gallery in Cleveland, Ohio. A feature article on Barron’s art appeared in the New York Times on December 27, 2016.

Ron Barron has had many careers: Dairy Queen soda jerk; public school teacher and administrator; dancer; cameraman and director in commercial and public television; personal manager, record and concert producer in Los Angeles and Manhattan; artist.

His art is multi-faceted: realistic drawings; acrylic paintings; assemblage sculpture; fine art photography using a flatbed scanner as his camera; videography.
