Parts and Labor: Print and Collage Works showcases the work of Steven Ford, one half of the jewelry-making duo Ford and Forlano. Referencing his approach to jewelry making, the process-driven works incorporate simple printmaking techniques to build complex and light-filled works on paper. Carved linocut blocks and collagraph plates (popsicle sticks and matchsticks glued to a board) are matrices. This survey of eight years of exploration at the printing press offers an in-depth look at an inventive artist who pushes the limits of printmaking.
