Bill and Liz Hunt have made collecting American ceramics a lifelong career. Liz is a retired art teacher and Bill is a retired editor from the magazine: Ceramics Monthly and former professor of ceramics from the Columbus College of Art and Design. As their lives are in the beginning stages of retirement they have moved from a beautiful home and studio in a rural setting to a smaller home which will allow them to travel. During this process, they decided to make the Canton Museum of Art a benefactor of their American ceramic collection. This exhibition includes works gifted and on loan from their personal collection. Works on display feature ceramics by Ken Ferguson, Charles Lakofsky, Neil Tekowski, Tom Turner, Frank Susi, and a small Japanese ceramic collection showcasing a national treasure by Takuo Kato.
