Christian Marclay: Video Quartet is a theater-sized video projection that presents a flow of film excerpts featuring people playing instruments, singing, or performing actions that generate noise, such as knocking on a door. Video Quartet’s four adjoining screens are synchronized so that these previously unconnected performances blend together. The artist spent over a year composing and editing more than 700 individual film clips to create this exhilarating new work of art and music.
