Bricks and Stones

Brooklyn-based artist and certified LEGO® professional Sean Kenney merges vintage tapestry aesthetics with op-art patterns to create abstract compositions that recall gemstones, such as jade, onyx, and jasper. Kenney painstakingly constructs these artworks entirely from LEGO bricks. A series of his gem murals will be on view at BAM, along with actual stones on loan from the Idaho Museum of Mining & Geology.
