Thoughtful. Expressive. Meritorious. This Heaven. New. Reaching toward the Sky—these are some of the words and phrases that were offered by Art Reach students as they considered what to title their spring gallery exhibition at PAAM.

From October through May each year, PAAM welcomes youth from the towns along Cape Cod to work with professional artists and educators in the LOWF Museum School studios. Based on interests, participants identify and develop creative skills in both traditional and digital media,. This year’s program features paintings, silk screen, woodblock and dry point etched prints; oil paintings, life drawings, and limited edition books; a website project that celebrates PAAM’s youth programs; computer animation; and a side-scrolling platform game two years in the making, Neutron’s Quest. Participants worked with artist teachers Tracey Anderson, Vicky Tomayko and Program Assistant Kiah Coble to realize these projects.

The 2016-17 Art Reach students are: Liam Baker, Nathan Balk-King, Hannah Capra, Eva Dewitt, Spenser Friend, Baylie Hartford, Annie Lamb, Kaleigh Mason, Maeve Noone Price, Kestrel Powers, Hannah Richardson, Molly Shafnacker, Sam Starobin, Esmé Stefani, Keith Taylor, Chris Vaughan, Russell Vujs, and Jonathan Young.
