Dorothy Peterson is one of Roswell's most respected living artists and teachers. A master of watercolor and acrylic painting, she draws on art history, archaeology and personal experience to create colorful, richly-textured paintings that celebrate New Mexico's unique sense of place. This exhibit will honor Peterson's dedication to both her art and the New Mexico community through a selection of her work. From landscapes to still life, her paintings span a range of subject matter, and embody her ongoing love for the history, geography, and cultures of New Mexico.
