Emanation 2017 is a contemporary art project that includes artist residencies, educational programs, and an exhibition featuring new works developed and created at WheatonArts. The invited artists utilize the resources and facilities of the institution for experiment based exploration. The results are displayed with an emphasis on each artist’s creative process. As the site of creation, as well as the site of exhibition, WheatonArts facilitates collaboration and partnerships with artists in a creative sanctuary that enables new ideas to emanate forth. Participating Artists: Emily Brown, Vanessa German, Michael Joo, Lorna Simpson, Thermon Statom and Matthew Szosz.
